That Even if he Conciously knew that he wasnt being abandoned being mortal (and flesh) he could still feel pain and I imagine that thats gotta hurt like a SOB (the spear in the side especialy) In pain people cry out for thier father and mothers. I've even done it and I would have rather cut my own nuts off than ask my mother for help in most circumstances. But I was in enough pain that even I asked for help from my mom and dad. (Stupid Kidney stones) Any way just my theory.
