Good Friday question by toysbfun 2007-04-06 10:36:40
(That's a question about Good Friday, not a good question for Friday)

When Jesus hung dying on the cross, he called out, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" But if Jesus is God, and if God is omniscient, then shouldn't Jesus have known that he wasn't abandoned? And it's not an isolated incident either. Throughout the Gospels, there seem to be gaps in Jesus' knowledge. Was his divine consciousness circumscribed by the neurons and axons of mortal flesh, memories limited to what engrams could store? Would that even be possible without denying his divine nature?
