but new people aren't actually told that by IT when they get their machines. I'm the only one in my group who does backups. ("They take too long." says at least one co-worker.) We have network drives, but users haven't got permissions to use them. Not sure why. But remember, our IT folk assured me that nobody needs a firewall at all cuz you won't have problems unless you go to a pr0n site. (Is there a term for idiot IT people that corresponds to luser?) Yesterday an IT person told me that Linux was overrated and mostly a waste of time. He prefers Apache and really likes ISS because it's stable. (Last I checked Apache was a webserver, not an OS.) He told me he worked as a web server admin and was able to post/edit webpages. Gee, if that was all it took to be a server administrator....
