What kind of ISP is it where... by Fuxi 2007-04-06 08:05:46
... data aren't stored on a file server, but locally on the workstations??? What kind of data can it be that only one single user needs to create revenue? What about when Stef (or any other user) is on holiday? Will someone else work with Stefs computer using his login data???

- Own login for every user
- data (except for *.pst files) stored on a file server
- no data on the workstations
- private folders on the file server for every user
- shared folders for every department's member on the file server
- one file exchange folder on the file server
- RAID 1 system backing up the file server's data with harddisk change every day (for SOHO customers) - Stardom's SR-2500-S is a good one
- Alternatively NAS...

That is, what we provide our customers with. Everything else needed is just an relatively up-to-date ghost image for every workstation stored on the file server.
