uninstalling something on Linux by dennismv 2007-04-06 01:07:29
What if you installed i.e. MySQL on Linux without the use of RPMs/other PMs. How do you remove it ?

The way I understand it's done is
1) Knowing Where MySQL was installed, including binaries, configuration scripts, data folders and other potential places
2) doing rm -f on each of those found locations

Is that right ?

        it's a server side package by dennismv2007-04-06 12:23:50
      If it appears in the rpm database by wwill2007-04-06 08:00:28
