Question regarding a company not paying an employe by glitch2007-03-05 19:50:41
  I had a job previously by Jito463 2007-03-05 22:01:26
where I got stiffed on a commision from a sale I made right before they decided to let me go (I was planning on leaving anyway, but it happened to coincide with the end of my 90-day eval period). It wasn't much, only $60, but I did consider taking them to small claims. Their reasoning was that there was additional work they had to do for this sale that cost them more time, so they were first going to split the commision with me and give me $30. Then they decided that $30 wasn't much money, so they just decided to give me nothing at all.

Needless to say, I was pretty PO'd. But that was chump change. If you got stiffed out of actual hours that you worked, then you need to take this to small claims. No lawyers are needed. Just present your case with as much evidence as possible. Make sure you can show when you left, when your last paycheck was (bring bank deposits), and let the judge sort it out from there.
