Warm saltwater gargle, as warm as you can stand, as long as you can without choking (once, maybe twice at a time), enough salt that it stops dissolving in the water, cough drops/cough syrup to keep the coughing down (coughing was what made me hurt the most, chest/ribs ached).
Drink water/juice regularly so body can work at flushing the cr@p out and not get dehydrated, OTC painreliever of your choice (I tend toward Tylenol, or Tylenol PM if near bedtime).
I'd hug ye, but I just got over the crud and really don't want to get it again...
