for about 10 minutes. It looks amazing, and I'm sure that the user interface is slightly more friendly to those who don't know what a computer is. For me, however, it turned my computer into a doorstop for the duration. No drivers existed for the OS, much less for a 64-bit system, and the stupid whatchamacallit security guard would say things like "Control Panel is trying to launch Display Settings. Cancel or Allow?" just like the PC/Mac commercials. My advice: if you want a computer that looks nice and is easy to use, buy a Mac (they're more reliable, too). If you intend on gaming, stick with XP for the next 2-4 years (unless you're waiting on Halo 2 for the PC). If you want a computer to be useful for actual computing, install a *nix. Until I know that the particular network drivers I need exist for Vista, my copy of RC1 will stay on my shelf. I intend to use WinXP x64 and Ubuntu for a good long while yet.
Two tests simultaneously? Are they online exams? If not, how'd you manage it? |
