Not so short but polite: Set at time period that you will be available for DO NOT let them stay any later than that! Leave the house if you have to but end the discussion. If your Conscience says you must do something write them a check for a donation to their church and they will graciously accept it and then tell them that while you appreciated their discussion that it differs greatly with your own beliefs but was very interesting nonetheless. If they offer you a book of the mormon take it and smile as you show them the door. The other way is to tell them politely thank you but no and offer to make a donation to the church for what you think their time is worth. Knowing several Mormons (A friends name is Brigham) they will not take offense at either way and 99.99% of the time will leave it at that.
