explain that while you respect their choice of their faith, you do not share it. Explain that you are interested in understanding it (to whatever extent that you are), but you just don't share it. Something like that? Pretend they're UFies, and show them the same respect you show me and other UFies who subscribe to a faith of some sort or other.
