Just got back from dropping Kissy off.
Got a call & it was the little girl's mom.
"Hi, we just got back from PreSchool or we would have called you back sooner. Did you say you had Kissy?"
"Yes, Ma'am. She's been fed, dried, and given enough lovin' to stun a moose. If you let me know where you are, I'll drive her right over."
Turns out they live only a few streets away, so it takes all of five minutes to walk there - kitty perched inside my sweater hood the entire time and *licking* the back of my neck...
(Twitches cuz it STILL tickles just thinkin' about it! hehehe)
I knock on the door, mom answers the door, & I ask "Is this Kissy's home?"
She breaks out in a big smile & says "Yep! My daught-"
That's as far as she got when little red-headed girl in pigtails & a "Hello Kitty" dress comes peeking out from behind her & asks "Are you the one who found Kissy?"
I looked down, kneeled, & said "Yup, and if you'll help me get her out of my hood, I'm sure she'll be VERY happy to see you again."
She holds out both hands & I scoop Kissy from my sweater, and the lil girl nearly starts crying as I hand her over.
OMG, I thought my heart was gonna melt right out through my socks... =} *wibble* hehehehe
She hugged Kissy to her, then gave me a kiss on the cheek & said "Thank you..." before running away.
I stood back up, brushed my pants off, and smiled a "If that were any cuter, I'd be dead of Diabetic Shock" smile at mom, and she offered to pay me for my troubles.
I stuck out my tongue, gave a raspberry, and left with a bounce in my step...
Sorry I didn't get any pictures, I was too busy playin with the little kitty instead. =JP
Now, I think I shall go curl up in a corner chair and bask in those warm fuzzies, good vibes, positive Karma, and +50 geek points...
I love it when a good deed makes my entire day feel better. =)
