But current events only tell me that there is no unrecognized great leader in North America. There may be a great leader somewhere else - but if he/she is not widely recognized I can't recognize that fact.

I don't quite understand what you are saying. IMO if the 'sheeple factor' is so important, then a great leader will be able to take charge and easily lead the population on to great things - in short, it is an agreement that great leaders are more important. Is that what you are saying?
