Reasons:
  1. This is American TV... They rarely, if ever, do a limited run series. The big bucks come from syndication, and syndication doesn' t happen until you get 100 or so episodes.
  2. This is a huge series for the network. Even *if* it was intended to be a limited run, I honestly can't see the execs letting the golden goose fly free that quickly :-)
