I will bet that it is not totally about you but about lots of things going on at that moment. It may also be that since you are the "computer Guru" you are supposed to wave a magic wand and everything will work magically. You and I know it doesnt happen like that but he may not get that. You might CC him a copy of what you sent to his manager and ask his manager to give him an ETA. Sometimes hearing the same thing from someone else suddenly makes it "true" to many people.

I have been in a similar situation doing things for my parents business and nope, it is not fun. :(
