I will admit that some of the acting was a little cheesy (LOL) but it was not badly overacted like you are describing. Our Serving "Wench" only told us once that gratuity was not included and that tipping was appreciated. She then paid very good attention to everyone under her care especially the several birthdays in our section. :) I am sure that they get above a standard waitress wage but not a whole lot.
