If you have not gone to a Medieval Times show... by classic_jon 2007-03-04 18:36:35
YOU SHOULD!!

The GF and I took her 7 year old there for her birthday and her older sister too and had a BLAST.

The food was very good, surprisingly so good it was difficult to decide to watch or to eat, and the show was excellent! The fact that the Knights were operating at almost full speed and were still able to have control was incredibly impressive! The most impressive bout was where two knights fought with a Flail (Morning star type ball without the points on a chain ) and an axe and shield. The fact that the Knight with the Flail was able to make contact with the shield and not wrap around the shield as it is supposed to do shows the skill of both of them.

The Hunting Hawk demonstration was also amazing. It was an incredible bird and obviously incredibly well cared for. It flew about 3 or 4 feet above our heads several times as he worked the bird with the lure. I could watch a good Falconer/Hawker work his birds for hours :)

All in all I give it two thumbs up and well worth the money!
