you can adjust the relative volumes... by imperito2007-03-04 17:12:01
                That's the problem. by shadowsystems 2007-03-04 17:58:44
If I turn it up loud enough so I can hear anyone say *anything at all*, every OTHER sound in the game is so painfully loud I nearly have to rip the headphones off to keep from screaming.
You know those "soft footsteps in the background"?
They sounded more like an entire battalion of MechWarriors jumping up & down inside my skull. =(
If I turn it down (either through the TS console, via the default volume control in the systray, or the built-in amp in the headphones) to where the other noises are comfortable, then I can't hear the TS voices at all.
I tried boosting the TS controls to max, setting the Windows volume to "decent" , and then adjusting the built-in, but all that got me was a VERY bizarre not-quite-stereo-effect over *everything*.
(Shrugs)
Like I said, don't worry about it.
I'll listen, but won't plug in a mic - that way I can hear the warnings, but won't pollute the Com with my system's EMI...
