and I mean like a boil on a swimsuit model's butt.
just in order to press ahead with the proliferation of firearms to the common man and removing our freedom and democratic rights in exchange for more security for "us" and coincidentally more power for "them".'
Now I spent some time in Germany, I'm not as familiar with their gun laws as I would like to have been (Never got the chance to hunt Red Stag like I wanted). So what I am about to say may not apply to your country or your culture.
First off the articles in this series are meant for American Law Enforcement. That will help establish some context I hope. You see we have this document that when properly examined tends to give all of today's politicians migrains. It's called the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. (I am sure you know of these I'm just trying to provide background for those in Rio Linda) Now in that Bill of Rights is an amendment that states "A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. Grammatically, contextually, and the intent of this one amendment was to ensure that the United States would always have an armed and equipped body of citizens from which to call upon in time of national crisis. To a majority of Americans the first 2 Amendments of the Constitution make up the foundation, and the cornerstone respectively of our rights and freedom. That freedom is not without responsibility, and in my opinion, and likely the writers of these three pieces, being armed is not only a right and an exercise of our freedom, but a responsibility as well.
You also asked if I consider Harris and Kliebold terrorists. While they do not technically fit the definition of terrorist, their goal was to generate as much terror and chaos as possible. In the realm of goings on in the US facing a deranged madman with a gun is much more likely than a Ideologically Motivated Terrorist. Fortunately, properly preparing for one, allows you to be prepared for both. |
