[Oh dear!]

[I'm a noob, ok? Be patient with me :)] Could you have a blank as the top round in the clip? That way you could have the first warning shot as a "safe" shot that you "don't have to worry about too much" (Note, I don't like using those terms when it comes to weapons). If the attacker decides to continue the attack... Well you can't exactly say he wasn't warned. The other rounds are all lethal rounds. Heh, tracer would show him you mean business, but I guess it probably wouldn't work over short distances.

However I'm under the impression that blanks are unreliable and tend to mess up the firearm (or do you have to specially convert the weapon?), so is this impractical?

Does there tend to be much problem in court when the victim has used a firearm to deter an attack? I was just thinking that maybe instead of having a laser marker on the pistol (I've heard you can add them on somewhere) you could have a camera on it, like the camera on a mobile phone. When the safety is set to 'fire' the camera records what the muzzle sees, so the court can see exactly what happened. But then I am obsessed with cameras at the moment.

What do you think?
