"Experience shows (i.e. fact; it already happened, hundreds of times!!) that if you give 50 - 200,000 people arms, even if trained and qualified, there will be at least 1-10 people each year that you mis-juged or did not train sufficiently and that will abuse in some way his position, i.e. will do s.th. nasty to a pupil in the school, up to "accidentially" shoot one either in acclaimed self-defense, or because "it acted up like a terrorist"."

Let's see... me, knowing me, having seen this sort of stuff play out:

Idiot A blasts figure B for "behaving like a terrorist" - but really for basically being person B. If I were to see this I might be tempted to fire on person A. And use the same excuse.

Then there are the accidental discharges. Sometimes I wonder how my own school had been had there been some of those. The stupidest ones hang around together, so accidents have a greater chance of befalling them - Someone will have his/her Darwin award.

Terrorists? I don't believe in those.
