A question for Jewish Ufies by SnappingTurtle2007-02-16 13:54:16
Have fun! I'm going to a Mitzvah Bar. by hadji2007-02-16 14:03:09
You can only have a Bar Mitzvah on Saturday. by RetiQlum2 2007-02-16 14:15:52
It is the traditional ceremony of becoming a man by reading from the Torah in front of the congregation.

The labor is all done beforehand by learning the particular portion of the Torah that will be read that day and writing the speech that explains what that piece means.

All that is left to do on the day of your Bar Mitzvah is to read things.

Actually, in my case, I led the entire service, but that is uncommon.
