Get a good feel of how it feels to shoot at the angles, you will start getting used to how your arrow tip looks against targets at a certain range. Once you have that, you will feel more comfortable at estimating ranges.

On a safety note, be careful what's behind the target if shooting upwards. The arrow has to come down somewhere.
