      I tried looking for a pattern - but couldn't see by Peace_man2007-02-16 09:29:22
There are always patterns by jdelphiki 2007-02-16 12:51:35
The one I listed in an earlier post finds the next word, but isn't repeatable. Someone else pointed out the heavy usage of the letters from RNA (C,G,A,T) and though I didn't really try to find a pattern there, I think I could come up with something that would, at least, partially work.

Like I've been whining about in other posts, these types of puzzles (or problems on tests) can end up being fairly subjective as to what the "true" answer is. Whenever I've encountered these on tests, I always have a hard time coming up with the right answer because they don't typically spell out enough of the rules to allow me to narrow it down to the conclusion the testers expect me to find. I see patterns in *everything* and can usually make a case for multiple, perfectly valid solutions to any given problem like this.

Like my guess at this one, they may not be indefinitely repeatable in the pattern to be followed, they may not even represent one, single solution to it all. But I can almost always find alternative solutions to the proscribed "right" one.

So, am I ranting yet, or just raving? ;) Apologies to oot, BTW. I know it's just a fun puzzle, but it's always kinda bugged me, trying to guess what the right answer is out of all the potential patterns I see.
