I would much rather my daughter/mother/wife have to deal with the after effects of defending herself then the after effects of rape. Why whould she let anyone go though her handbag? Yes when you go to the club you don't go armed, but you can still practice good situational awareness skills. In a city you should not go out alone. It is common to leave work after dark and be alone. This is just as high risk as leaving a club. The minimum training needed tends to be over exaggerated by the antis. Every CCW holder I know spends more time training then most police officers. Many departments only require their officers to qualify once or twice a year. A firearm is just one of the tools available. Each individual should pick the best tools for their personal situation.
