toss the "standard" stuff and just be yourself and show some personality. I have done that over the years and it has always helped my applications stand out. It may not get you hired, but I firmly believe it increases your chance of getting further in the process. However, make sure to open and close with the standard boilerplate stuff just to be professional. Best, Shane
