That's up to the product producer. However, if the reseller is interested in continuing to be a good corporate citizen, they should make reasonable efforts to provide good customer service.
That said, however, "reasonable" and the one-day timeframe defined is problematic. Despite the fact that Joan's phone number was part of the records, the resources to make calls to all the purchasers affected by the contamination. Mail is also too slow.
Had an e-mail address been included, that would have addressed the time limitation, but still relies on the purchaser to read their e-mail daily. As Havoc said... buyer beware. |
