Oh, goody. I'm doing a presentation on what's... by Khaar 2007-02-16 06:22:16
...Web 1.x and what 2.0. Boss emailed a "Web 2.0 explained" video and I commented that if that video is supposed to be a good representation of Web 2.0, then nothing has changed since the Dot-com bubble. With the exception of broadband being widely available, everything in the video was a selling argument of the Dot-com era projects, even if actual technology and standards were slightly different than now (and those presented didn't differ much from then). So I was volunteered to present what's what on one of the staff meetings. I'm actually tempted to do it, but in a way that no one except techs understands anything. Why not? I'm a tech, so it's only natural that I explain the differences from my point of view. Why shouldn't I waste everybody's valuable time?
