In US clothing terms, a lower abdomen of fat is one men's pants size larger than a same-weight lower abdomen of muscle.

Which is really noticeable in the human concious. And exaggerated by the differential location preferences of fat and muscle. (Fat on the abdomen/thorax, muscle on the inner segments of the limbs.)
