Isn't that what it comes down to? And from the other side of the coin we have definitely heard clearly and loudly that there should not be any discrimination against religions. The reverse is also true - no religion should be allowed to force people to discriminate against others.

So those customers should NOT just shup up and live with it. They should expect to be served without discrimination. So to answer your last question: Equal treatment of all customers is more important than religion. Anything else would be equivalent to religious discrimination:-)
