(I do have them, but they're Beta, and I haven't got the nerve to start on THAT oddessy yet), but I *think* it propagates across both channels in the all-in-one box (or uses the "center" channel of 5.1). Even if it doesn't, turning the mono audio signal into pseudo stereo is relatively painless in the editing software.

If you have to put the audio track into audio software (like Sound Forge) to make a stereo signal out of it, add a sync clip at the beginning (like the film count down thingies with audio blips so you can re-sync the audio and video tracks after re-importing them)
