Converting VHS Tape to DVD? Advice? by asayogure2007-01-25 11:58:26

Well, this is planned as a present for them... by asayogure 2007-01-25 12:22:52
So I am doing it all on my own. Not that money is really a factor, nor is my time. I want to do this as professionally as possible. I am still not sold on the DVD/VHS play->record idea though, as it would not allow for editing, and from what you say the menu setup would be plain at best, and chapters would be difficult.

I can certainly hold that idea as plan B, but I really would like to do this as an A-class, 100% (wish I was a director, but I'm not) kind of a thing. Any specialized equipment or software suggestions? I am hearing you guys on the VHS+DVD recorder option, and I will keep that firmly in mind as plan B. But I would like to explore the other options first ... Other suggestions?
