I don't think so.
And not necesarially not allowed to drink, but I'd support not allowed to draw on public funding if they do. If you have money to buy booze, well then you must not be too hard up, so no welfare or whatever for you.
If people really want to make that "choice" they should shoulder all of the consequences of it. I'm not entirely against charity, but I'd rather a bum not have any money at all, than give him money to buy booze and cigarettes.
And I certainly don't appreciate being made to pay to fix the damage he chose to do to himself, or the damage he chooses to do to those around him. |
