already. I think it's affected the amount of people who go out to bars/clubs to see bands... But as I *stopped* going to clubs (even to see my husband perform) because I hated coming home smelling like an ash tray, I think it's a really great thing. Great enough that I joined a cover band and I'll be back playing in clubs probably by the spring. I didn't like spending 6 hrs in a bar, singing and needing a shower when I got home at 3 AM, plus the smoke stank up cables, microphones and all the equipment. Not to mention coats, hats, and other clothing.
Voxspouse had to strip off his band clothes in the hallway after a gig, because it was just too awful to be assaulted with that smell at 3AM.
What has happened is that the smokers go outside breifly and repeatedly during the evening for a smoke. And more non-smokers have started going out again. |
