... in my original post. Go look at the bottom paragraph or two for the insurance/taxes/etc comment (I referred to medicare). As to the non-smoking section, I'm not sure where you got that out of my comment, I didn't suggest creating non-smoking sections. I would never patronize a place that allows smoking now that I have quit. If non-smokers didn't, being that they are the majority of the population, those places would quickly convert to being non-smoking. If you look at my OP again, you'll see quite clearly where I explained my stance on this, especially concerning places a "normal" person would *need* to have access to, and having a complete ban on those places.

Anywhere I have a "choice" about patronizing, I say leave it to them. They won't see my money if they permit smoking, but that is their choice as a private entity.

Your third point, don't interact with those people. Smokers should not get "special" consideration for what is a VOLUNTARY action. They shouldn't get free 10 minute smoke breaks in the middle of work days. That said, if a private company wants to provide them this, then great. I don't care - I'd never work for such a company.

Statement four, I will not even touch on. I don't want anybody to die, even if they are killing themselves knowingly.
