...when I'm travelling by car anywhere where I might encounter unexpected weather. In the winter, 've been known to pack sleeping bags, snow boots and bibs, gloves, etc. for everyone in the van, just to travel the six hour trip from the Kansas City area to western Kansas where my in-laws live. I don't plan on skidding off the road or getting snowed in, but then again, if it happens, I want to be ready.
The trick is to simply anticipate even a few of the problems you might have. It's not that hard to think a little ahead, is it? |
