Missing hunter found after 10 days

WISDOM - Search crews on Friday found a Hamilton man missing for 10days after his vehicle broke down while he was coyote hunting in theBig Hole Valley, authorities said.
Roger Nagy, 55, was found in a mountainous area 12 miles north of Wisdom.
He flagged down a search plane about 1:30 p.m. and was picked up by rescuers about a half-hour later.
Nagy,who was suffering from exposure, was airlifted to Community MedicalCenter in Missoula, said Russ Sigman, a member of Beaverhead CountySearch and Rescue.
Nagy's dog accompanied him through the ordeal, during which temperatures dropped to 45 below zero, said Beaverhead County SheriffJay Hansen. Nagy apparently survived by eating provisions that he carried in case of emergencies.
"People don't live 10 days out in the wild, so we were excited we were able to find him and he's doing well," Sigman said.
Nagyhad last been seen Jan. 2, when he told friends he was heading on ahunting and trapping expedition. The friends notified authorities thathe was missing on Jan. 6, and a ground search began the next day.Weather precluded an air search until Thursday.
No word whether he will be lobbying for laws marking roads, barring media from S&R efforts, demanding radio alerts about how to survuve, etc. like the family of the late Kim.
Moral of the story here: be prepared.
