So I got somebody contacting me about a job today by Spisefisken2007-01-25 05:52:49
can you also be happy at the new job? by voxwoman 2007-01-25 07:01:27
I know you're not in the US, so things may be different in your country/culture. That disclaimer aside, it's been my experience that loyalty to a particular employer only gets you screwed in the long run.

The additional income from the new job will enable you to pursue more enjoyable activities when you're not at work or provide you with more money for retirement (or even move up the retirement date), so you won't have to work for ANYONE.

Talk to the other workers at the new place before making any decisions - find out about their corporate culture and how it's different from where you are now. And if the differences are things you can live with.

Also remember that once you boost your salary, you can always look for a different job later, and expect to be paid around the same amount (or more).
