Dual-processor oddity by cpqrst32007-01-25 03:41:27
My guess: one CPU gets the main 'kernel' thread by Cokish2007-01-25 03:54:05

Even more true for 4 procs... by mpicklesimer1 2007-01-25 06:06:00
You wouldn't believe how twitchy my Quad Xeon system is according to gkrellm. But here's a related question: Are the temps on these procs within a couple of degrees of each other or are we talking 10+ degrees of difference? Also, as long as things stay below 150F you're ok since most processors I've worked with are safe until about 195F before they burn out. As an aside, I've never had any proc get above 120, much less 150, no matter how hard I push them.
