If the purpose is to get members for an expedition across Greenland, it is easy to understand why you would not want to consider a smoking, drinking octagenarian. If it is for something where private habits and age do not really have any objective influence, it is wise to be very nice about it. In some situations, such an ad might even be seen as illegal discrimination.
