Again though, let's talk about the spirit of the law. I think it refers more to piracy, hacking, warez, etc. Saying unflattering things about Elbonian cabbages may be illegal in some states but it's not here. This is an open discussion forum and we say lots of unflattering things about software, hardware and so on. You may be contravening laws you've never heard of by slagging a product made in your country. If posting on this site contravenes your country's laws it's a call you have to make.

A good example of this is that Russian mp3 site. Illegal or not? Doesn't really matter - we discussed it and if there wasn't a direct clicky to the site there was certainly enough info to find it and use it. Could uf thus be "facilitating" "illegal" practices? Personally, I say: Nonsense!

I'm confident that the m0ds and regular members that know the spirit of the board will step in before things go too far down any of those roads.
