First, science doesn't honestly recognize a theory as "proven" ever. At most, you get "less false" as you run tests. The term is certainly bandied around a lot, but only to make conversation easier.

In order for a theory to be accepted as viable via the scientific method, it must be able to be falsified.

Which is very different from your understanding of what I said.
