New shiney! by jmaxsohmer 2007-01-22 17:55:33
Well, not really new per se - in fact it's a bit beat-up - but it's new to me. I haven't used a Mac extensively since I was in middle school... but I just got an old hand-me-down PowerBook G4.

It's not nearly as fast as the laptop I've been using (and will continue to use... now I just have to choose which one to carry with me -_-) and the resolution of the screen is driving me nuts because it's only 1024x768 and I'm used to 1920x1200, but everything's so pretty! Lack of right-click is, of course, driving me nuts.

On the bright side, it has integrated Bluetooth so once I set it up with my MX900 I should be pretty well set.

My favorite part about it, however, is the size... it's the 12" model, and I must say it's deliciously tiny. I do wish it were a bit faster though... I might need to see if I can't find a bit more memory for it and possibly a CPU upgrade. Oh, and the battery life is nice... I can downscale enough to get it to over five hours (without Wi-fi though).

Well, I'm off... and since I don't have everything I need on this yet I suppose I'll just have to leave it at work for now and play with it in the morning. Or get another laptop bag.

Did I mention how pretty everything is?
