Is science based in fact or belief? by subbywan2007-01-22 16:28:58

      Reasoning. by Arachnid 2007-01-22 17:18:49
The entire of science is built on logical reasoning. A particular theory states "if x is true, then y is also true" - in the best ones, there was no obvious connection between x and y until the theory came along. Using those building blocks, we can construct more and more elaborate theories and learn more and more about how the universe works and how to achieve what we want. You don't need to just _believe_ any of it - you can go out and verify every one of the results yourself if you don't.
