I think reasoning and criticism are perfectly valid for religious credibility. I think we SHOULD question religious things. It's either right, or it's not, and we should be trying to figure out which one it is.

Granted, I realise that's not the commonly accepted idea behind religion, but I do think it's the RIGHT one.
