potentially the DRM could degrade or totally block images that were recorded in HD if you are not using an HDCP compliant monitor or LCD.

Imagine having it degrade a digital x-ray or CAT scan because the monitor it is not using an HDCP compliant connector.... the brain boggles...

A friend told me that there was an interview with Bill Gates a while back that said that the level of DRM in Vista is bordering on the insane and they had to put it all in to make the recording companies happy.
