C64 question by Hactar the Uhhh2007-01-22 12:15:23
IRC: the output is simple "composite video by cokish 2007-01-22 12:54:06
So you only need one composite video out and the audio out connected to any monitor which can display composite video and audio.
My TV has those inputs at front for video cameras.

I found my C64 reference guide for the pin-layout, but to my surprise I put scratchings to the pin layout which the guide displays!
and put 'wrong' near it!
My own handwriting!
I absolutely cannot recall what is wrong with it.
But here is the pin layout of the C64 Audio/Video connector from the guide:

3 - - 1
   /|\
  5 2 4

1 Luminance
2 GND (Ground)
3 Audio out
4 Video out (This should be composite video)
5 Audio in (wauw. never knew how to use this)

It should be possible to create your own cable.
But you should double check the pin layout or use an oscilloscoop to check the signals. Let me know if this helps!

    I *think* c64 had a composite-video output, but it by bobmon2007-01-22 13:30:52
Y/C is better, but the composite should work on by cokish2007-01-22 13:34:21
