But this thread is now digressing from the original point. We are now quantifying different levels, and looking at intent.
Also, Jesus' point was that the widow made a greater sacrifice with her gift, even though the actual value was minuscule compared to other.
However, I posit that both was still sharing as someone gave up something of theirs for someone else.
Let me ask it this way. My daughter has 10 dolls, and is only playing with 2 of them. Her sister asks to play with one of the other 8, and my daughter allows her to. Has my daughter shared a toy with her sister? Did her sister have an inherent right to the other dolls, even though they did not belong to her?
For some reason, your stance is making me think of the perfect Communist state with central control of all resources in which everyone shares alike. Is that, or something similar, what you are advocating? |
