Media Player 11 will APPLY DRM to your mp3s. Without asking.

MP10 gives you the option to NOT DRM stuff you rip. 11 removes the option.

Windows Vista expands the DRM world to include all of your media. Thus when you rip a DVD to your system, you may play it on your system, but not burn it or play it on any other system.


It is insidious, and MS is working with the media companies to restrict your lawful use of your music.

So yes, if you wish you could use DRMed content on your vista system, but you would be using it all the time anyway if you ever ripped any CDs.
