http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/ http://www.iihs.org/default.html I can't find anything to officially say one way or the other. Could it be that they haven't collected any statistics on this? Most of the people that say that 4wd suck are the greenies on forums, etc - no hard data. Unfortunately, it goes both ways. So find the data if you can, I couldn't find anything to support either argument.
