At least for some people, using a tablet is more ergonomic. I've got the toshiba Portege tablet, and I liked it enough to recommend one to my brother when he went to school, and he liked his enough to recommend one to his girlfriend. You only pay a small premium for them, and if you get one of the toshiba one's it's still a full-fledged laptop, only that you can write with a pen if you should so desire.
